Iassen Ghiuselev

Description

Born July 24, 1964 in Sofia. His father is the famous Bulgarian opera singer Nikola Gyuzelev, and brother of Yasen is the artist Chavdar Gyuzelev.

Yassen Gyuzelev graduated from the National Academy of Arts and then went to work in Italy.

He illustrates a series of books, including "Alice in the Wonderland" and "Alice in the Mirror World" by Luis Carroll, Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi, Cervano's Don Quixote, Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist, personalities such as Socrates and Michelangelo and many others. Giuseppe was named Illustrator of the Year of the International Book Fair in Bologna in 1994. With his illustrations in "Alice in the Wonderland" he gains worldwide reputation among illustrators. He won the Konstantin Konstantinov Prize for Illustrator in 2011. Giuseppe also illustrates a luxury edition of "The Basketball Dog" and many more books.
