Bisera Vuleva

Bisera Valeva was born in Sofia in the family of the renowned artist Vassil Valev. She graduated in Mural Painting with Prof. Mito Ganovski, National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia.

Since 1994, she has been working at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in the Department of Visual Arts. Since 1997, she has been a part-time lecturer in the discipline "Painting" at the National Academy of Fine Arts in the specialties "Graphics" and "Book, Illustration and Printed Graphics". Since 2005, she has been a doctor of pedagogy, and since 2013, she has been a professor of "Drawing and Composition" at the Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". She has been a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists since 1991. She has received numerous awards and distinctions, including:


2024 – Award from the zonal exhibition "Struma 24", Pernik, "Lyuben Gaydarov" Art Gallery, Pernik;

2024 – Award from the Municipality of Vratsa in the name of Tseno Todorov for painting from the national exhibition "The Land of Botev", Art Gallery "Ivan Funev", Vratsa;

2023 – Award for painting from the national exhibition-biennial "Tenets-Montana", dedicated to the work of Yordan Radichkov, Art Gallery "Kiril Petrov", Montana;

2022 – Second prize for painting from the national exhibition "Spring Salon '22", Art Gallery "Hristo Tsokev", Gabrovo;

2019 - Award for drawing from the "IV Biennial of Drawing Veliko Tarnovo 2019" in Veliko Tarnovo;
